Mark Hervey - guitar, bass, singing. Mark lives in NYC where they call him Mawk. One of the original Gomers. Performed with the Bert Fershners in NYC and on Comedy Central specials. Since he's the editing director on "Dog the Bounty Hunter", Mark is also the editing helmsman of some supersecret Gomer movies which quietly appear on Salt and Sugar or are currently in production. He was in a Levi's ad doing some badass pogo stick work. Has the best shirts in the world. Is also in Tuppy The Band.
Dave Adler - keys, singing. Dave has nicest hair of any Gomer. He also tours with Richard Cheese as keyboardist/arranger, having recently opened for Weezer, Staind, Offspring, and xxx. Sits in with Second City in Chicago as musical accompaneerist. Did the music for Comedy Central's "Upright Citizens Brigade." Did UCLA's music for film program. Has a cool cd, Zoom Golly. Loves ice.
Stephen Burke - guitar, bass, singing. You want Steveness? You got it! It's Steve! Stevie's Gomer contract allows him to ply his string trade with Madison's Blue Herons, Green Lime Dog, Ritt Dietz and a band on Speakeasy Records called NoahJohn that gets reviewed like crazy over in England and freakin' tours all over the place. Steve can speak German real good. Has had the most panties thrown at him. Plays sitar, dulcimer, harp, mandolin, lap steel and the like. Teaches guitar and bass privately so email him if you wanna get real good.
Geoff Brady - drums, vibrophone, marimba, percussion. Geoff may be Madison's busiest musician, having membership in Yid Vicious, the Ed Anders Quartet, Tomatobox, the Madison Symphony, and the Gomers, among others. We actually don't know how many bands he's in. But he created the modified Fisher Price cash register used for the live intro of Pink Floyd's Money, and for that we're eternally grateful.
Gordon Ranney - guitar, bass, singing. "G-Lo" as we call him, is a patent artist by day, and singer of all the Gomer high parts at night. Currently residing in Madison, G-Lo also aces the basses for local supergroups PROG and, and also CEMENT POND. Created our Sofa King Good and Salt and Sugar covers, making him the most succesful cover artist our band has ever had. One of the original Gomers, Gordon is the lick master of Sgt. Carter, the buttermaker on the guitar solo in Sulu and creator of many of our posters. You are not permitted to call him G-Lo.
Gregg Rullman - drums. Also a commercial fisherman in Florida where he has seen some incredible shit. Also can fix a boat at sea. Also tempted fate with two sharks. Also the Most Tan Gomer. Also the Gomer who is Most Likely To Leave After Loading Out and Go Fishing at 4am on Lake Superior. Also likes to fish.
Andy Wallman - jumping, singing. When it comes to getting parking tickets, Andy really gets `em. Most don't get paid right away either, which makes the fee go up. Andy's wife fucking hates this. Sure, he's tried to be more consciencious about this, plugging the meter more frequently, but that doesn't do much.
Biff Uranus Blumfumgagnge has worked with the Reptile Palace Orchestra, Robert Fripp, Headpump, Jambeau, the Willy Porter Band, Yammer, Natty Nation, Adrian Belew, Dumate, Robyn Hitchcock, Dr. Eugene Chadbourne, Killbilly and many others. Biff collects vintage arcade and pinball machines - give him your old ones.
"After much careful thought, I am utterly speechless at the very thought of this band" - Carey Crouse, Bookings Collegian, SD University
"Whether serving fondue at the front of the stage or giving away fabulous (well, OK, fabulously tacky) prizes, the Gomer's sense of humor is almost as off-beat as its sense of rhythm." - John Kovalic, Madison Newspapers Rhythm
"The best band in the world. Ever." - Willy Porter
